Who We Are

Meet Our Founder,
Erin Rebant

I started using em dashes and semicolons in the first grade—all thanks to my dad. The punctuation puzzled my teachers a little, but I kept right on sprinkling it across my worksheets. I learned from the best. Dad has always been an expert wordsmith, and he introduced me to the mechanics of language at an early age. He helped instill a lifelong love of writing. I am incredibly lucky to follow that passion and continue in his footsteps.

Today I am thrilled to share Water’s Edge Poetry—a boutique publishing house and online store. We are busy launching original hardcover and ebook poetry collections featuring my father’s work. This isn’t exclusively a family business, but family will always be the heart of it. We look forward to showcasing new poetic voices in the future as well.

Our website is more than a store; it’s an online sanctuary for booklovers, introverts, writers, artists, crafters, musicians, and more. Our store offers gifts and accessories that remind us of a simpler, analog era.

Imagine carefully scrawling letters to faraway loved ones with a dip pen and securing them with a wax seal, steeping loose leaf tea while reading a leather-bound classic on a rainy afternoon, or blowing out a literary-themed candle by your bedside and dreaming of your favorite character. These simple joys are rare in our frenetic, loud, multitasking world. But you can find them here. There is something meditative and intentional about slowing life down and opening up the senses.

We all crave inspiration and a little encouragement to unmoor our own creativity. If this sounds like you, then welcome home! Refresh your senses and let your imagination wander. Sink your feet into the sand and walk along the water’s edge with us.

Meet Our Featured Poet,
Daniel B. Rebant

A zoomed in shot of a man wearing a dark gray shirt writes in a notebook with a pen, sitting at a dark wooden table in a cozy coffee shop, with a mug on the left side. He is featured poet, Daniel B. Rebant.

With a career spanning decades as a writer and editor, Daniel brings a unique anchor to Water’s Edge Poetry. He is drawn to the mystical side of faith—those quiet, contemplative moments that naturally overflow into compassion for others. His work serves as a bridge, making deep spirituality feel both inclusive and practical for everyday life.

Daniel’s poetry draws inspiration from the Transcendental tradition of Emerson and Thoreau in finding “the extraordinary in the ordinary.” Whether he is reflecting on a lakeside sunrise or a moment of quiet prayer, his words offer a sure path for anyone seeking a deeper connection to the sacred.
